- Architectural patterns provide extendible templates for applications within a domain
- Architectural patterns (Frameworks) are modelled by Stereotyped packages.
- Frameworks are larger than mechanisms.
- Frameworks are micro architectures with a set of Mechanisms which work together to solve a common problem for a common domain.
- A framework providesa skeleton of an architecture with slots, tabs, knobs and dials that are adjusted by the user to adapt it to a particular application context in the same domain.
