PhD students
interested in the area of signal and information processing and
machine/deep learning with applications to big data, multimedia,
security, and communications, including the following areas, are
invited to submit an application:
a) video anomaly detection using deep learning
b) biometrics and people identification using image/video data and
deep learning
c) coding of high definition, HDR, and 3D video signals
d) graph-based signal processing with applications to images and
videos and deep learning
e) video analysis for multi-camera settings using deep learning
Exceptional
candidates with strong mathematical, coding and technical
writing skills are encouraged to apply. Female candidates
and candidates from other under-represented groups in
Computer Science and Computer Engineering are especially
encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to those students
with their own source of funding or with an intention to apply
